Chloe de Brito’s work is visually hypnotic, highly visceral and cinematic. She imagines and creates heightened fantastical worlds that set the backdrop for her characters to play and explore. Growing up immersed in song, dance, improvisation and theatre, Chloe became obsessed with storytelling and yearned to capture and preserve powerful yet temporal moments.
Starting as a photographer and editor, experimenting with the synergy between movement and performance, she created her vibrant aesthetic, beautiful art direction and effortless sense of rhythm and timing. Chloe is an ADG award-winning director whose recent short Pink Reef premiered at the 70th Melbourne International Film Festival and will feature at the BFI this February.
